Less costs
more accuracy

In the tree nursery sector, GPS technology has now become an indispensable instrument for achieving uniform cultivation, cost savings and optimizing operational efficiency. As a co-development partner and dealer of Trimble, the most accurate GPS-system on the market, we strive to improve and streamline your nursery activities.

Precise planting operations

GPS plant hole drilling lays the foundation for plants and is the necessary starting point for planting operations based on GPS coordinates. It is then possible to perform various operations on GPS, such as pruning, root cutting, hoeing, spraying, point fertilization and laying irrigation hoses.

The GPS-based positioning makes it possible to adjust the machines accurately, up to 2 centimeters from the plant. As a result, plants are treated with extreme precision, which, in addition to better results and uniform cultivation, saves both time and resources.

Benefits of Trimble GPS in tree nursery:

  • Unparalleled accuracy: Trimble’s RTK-GPS system offers an accuracy of 0-2 centimeters. This precision is vital for tree nursery operations such as planting, pruning and harvesting, allowing each task to be carried out with extreme precision. Deviations, such as those that occur with traditional step wheels, are minimized.
  • Time savings and efficiency: By using GPS-based guidance in the field, planting operations can be carried out more efficiently. Globus machines can perform their work flawlessly based on GPS data.
  • Cost savings: GPS contributes to savings on fuel and pesticides and makes selective/partial harvesting unnecessary. Uniformity allows the entire planting bed to be easily cleared for new plantings, resulting in cost savings and optimal field use all year round.
  • Simpler and cheaper machines: Because no sensors and/or cameras are required, the basic machines can be built considerably cheaper, especially when multiple rows have to be processed simultaneously.
  • Uniform cultivation: GPS contributes to a more efficient planting cycle, improvement of yield and therefore uniform cultivation and more consistent quality.
  • Soil scans: Carrying out a soil scan prior to planting offers opportunities to adjust the right amount of fertilization required based on the data obtained, which contributes to uniform cultivation.
  • Compatibility and flexibility: The Trimble system is a independent brand and can be easily integrated with different tractors. Using CAN bus technology, the installation process is effortless and fast, allowing the system to be used on multiple prepared tractors.
